Week 9 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

The possibility of Ole Miss and Alabama making the playoffs still exists. For that to happen, the Rebels and Tide have to win out, which would include victories over Mississippi State for both squads. A one-loss Mississippi team would then play in the SEC title game, while a one loss Alabama team would not have to sweat out that game and should make it into the playoffs anyway. It’s not a fair scenario for the reeling Rebels, but that’s the way it goes. We are not convinced Ole Miss will end up with just one loss though and the road is opening up for Oregon to join Florida State, Michigan State and Alabama in our projected playoffs. After all of the craziness in the SEC West, how disappointing would it be if it was Alabama who ended up representing the SEC in the playoffs.
